"Paid Poetry Commission for a Ghanaian Poet: A Recipe of Reading
Children's Writing organisation Ministry of Stories is working with three primary schools in London and three in Ghana on a new poetry writing project, and we need a poet of Ghanaian heritage to write a short poem to inspire the students.
Poet Laila Sumpton has designed educational resources on how to write 'recipe poems' and the students are being challenged to write one about the books and stories they have heard from Ghana and Britain. We need a Ghanaian poet to write an example poem and film a performance- the poem is about children's stories and books that they love and would follow the guidance in Laila's resource. The poem would need to be in simple but inspiring language, around 12 - 20 lines long and our fee is £70.
